Keith V. Goodman, a professional choreographer and dance educator with 24 years experience teaching children, directs the program and co-teaches the classes.
Jessie Berdine began his study of dance at Portland State University focusing on folkloric and contemporary styles. Currently a teacher and performer of Caribbean and Latin American Folkloric dance and drumming styles as well as a student of contemporary movement, Jesse finds a unique culmination of styles in the work of Mr. Goodman. He has been a member of Dance Gatherer for six years, and recently performed in NY choreographer Sally Silvers new work, Tijuana Picnic as part of her residency with Performance Works Northwest.
Mariecella Devine is a co-founder of the hip-hop troupe Urban Colors which has performed in special engagements for Nike, Columbia Sportswear, and Meier & Frank, among others. With over ten years as an instructor, she is one of the most sought-after funk aerobic choreographers on the West Coast. In 1997 she was a guest artist at Oregon Ballet Theatre, performing in James Canfield's high-energy, hip-hop work CQ (Charmed Quark), and travelled with the company to perform as part of OBT's 1999 premier at the Joyce Theater.
